How to Setup Student Email in Outlook

  1. Click on Start, Control Panel, and then select Mail.
  2. A window will appear called Mail Setup – Outlook. Under the Profiles heading, click Show Profiles.
  3. A new window will appear called Mail. Select the Add button.
  4. Another window will appear called New Profile. Give the profile a distinguishing name such as MyMail and click OK.
  5. A window will appear called Add New Email Account. Fill in your MyMail Information.
    • Your Name: Last Name, First Name
    • Email Address: yourusername@lakers.mercyhurst.edu
    • Password: Your Mercyhurst Email Password
    • Retype Password: Your Mercyhurst Email Password
  6. Click Next. A window will appear that checks the network connection and searches for your username. Another window will also appear during this process to connect to outlook.office365.com. Type in your information:
    • Username: yourusername@lakers.mercyhurst.edu
    • Password: Your Mercyhurst Email Password
  7. Once it has finished configuring your email account, click Finish.
